Maitra project: Skill development and vocational training of women in sex work and their children supported by Villoo Poonawala Foundation
COVID-19 relief for women and MSM/TG sex workers (Giving back fund-USA): Dry ration, nutritional snacks, safety kits, and seed money was provided to women in sex work to start a small business.
Support group of women in sex work living with HIV/AIDS: The group is working for the last 12 years and its membership is growingly steadily. Currently, there are around 100 members and 45 are very active in the group. Regular meetings and provision of medical support, counseling, alternate livelihood, and nutrition support are major activities done by the group.
Clean red project: Implemented in partnership with PMC, SWaCH, and supported by ASR Services, it is a unique project model in which four partners are working together. The first objective of the project is to provide alternate and substantial livelihood to sex workers by hiring them as cleaning workers. The second is to keep the red light area clean by picking up the waste regularly and keeping the streets in the area clean.
SRHR Project for women in sex work: It is implemented in collaboration with SANGAMA (Karnataka) and South India AIDS Action Plan (SIAAP) Tamil Nādu, and supported by Amplify Change (UK).
